Wouldn’t think even the “Vixen” version is worth that much- mind you, think Protek had a vixen up for £600+ little while back!OMG just seen an advert for the hw 35e £650 Range and country. Hope this includes hawke vantage scope, gun bag, and a years supply of pellets.![]()

But don’t forget the ‘standard’ HW35e from them is £485, which, yes, is still a fair chunk of cash. This particular anniversary edition seems like it may be the most appealing of the recent HW specials, as it at least shares a few things with the ethos of the original, and looks quite good. Thank God it’s not a laminate.OMG just seen an advert for the hw 35e £650 Range and country. Hope this includes hawke vantage scope, gun bag, and a years supply of pellets.![]()

Nearly, £485Last time I looked on R&C’s website they had the actual HW35 Export at £475’ish which looks a bargain in comparison !
Yes, I got that email too and was staggered at the price! The HW35 is a great rifle and to be fair this is a special edition but it’s still a lot on money. I’m not convinced that these special editions are worth the money, people struggle to sell them quite often on here as even a reduced price!OMG just seen an advert for the hw 35e £650 Range and country. I think my first HW35 Standard was £52 or £54 in ‘79 (when dinosaurs roamed the Earth) and that was probably about £15 more than a BSA Mercury or a tenner more than an Airsporter !Wow, when I bought my first HW35E Luxus brand new I think it was about £70.
I wish mine were only deep, big holes in the bottom of mine, tubes really......Its a limited edition
Someone somewhere will buy them, not me though, short hands, deep pockets
I think that's it - I think the Rekord trigger replaced the original version after the first couple of years production in the '50's, they added a safety catch in the mid '70's and switched from leather to synthetic seals & washers in the late '70's.they do make me laugh, i've never known a 35 with anything but a Rekord trigger, breech lock, auto safety all standard stuff,
nothing special there. And in 1979 i think i paid about £70 for my first one.
PossiblyIsn’t that the 75th Anniversary model ? And I agree that it’s a bit eye watering !
