Anyone has or fancies the HW70? I know the HW40/45 are popular but theyre illegal here (cause theyre replicas). I liked the looks of the HW70 black arrow. Compared to the standard HW70, it has a barrelweight, no opens, but a sightrail. Theres also a brown arrow iirc.
.177 only. Its nice to shoot. Feels very sturdy. Nice to grip. Trigger is unreliable though. No pressurepoint. But its light. Compared to the Diana LP8 magnum the HW70 is a kidstoy. Lol. :ROFLMAO: Other one is a webley tempest. Fitted the HW70 with Diana reddot. Shot some pellets at 5 yards. FTT and HN Finale Match. It didnt like JSB. The pyramidair review suggested JSB RS but Im out of those.

Best group sofar, with RWS R10 4.49. Another 2 cards with HN Excite and JSB RS. No lucky. Its a very picky pistol, even at 5 yards lots a difference in groupsize.

But they aren't actual replicas.

The Black Arrow retail for around £250 in the UK. Can’t find any second hand on the usual sites, hopefully this means there to good to let go.

Theyre rare here too. But I think theyre just not very popular. Especially not in countries that allow the HW40/45.

Tried some RWS R10 4.50 today as I have much more in stock of these than of the 4.49. But they didnt group as well as the 4.49.
Also tried RWS Hobby. Difficult to get here, even sws in germany had no stock only a testset of 40 pellets. Which was more than enough for my test. Did have a malfunction today. Pistol wouldnt stay cocked. Whiggled the safety and trigger, trigger clicked and after that all was well again. Dunno what the issue was. Maybe I touched the safety before cocking?
Anyway, the RWS Hobbies did very well, and theyre a lot cheaper than RWS R10. May be a good allrounder to use

First try at 10m. I shoot weekly at my home range of about 5 yards, but I rarely take an airpistol to the gunclub. It has been 2/3 years since Ive shot 10m airpistol. Anyway, I was curious. It did very well. Shot freestanding, 2 hands, Diana reddot. I took RWS R10 and RWS Hobby to the range. R10 did best. First 5 shots, and after 15 shots. Might try another reddot as the Diana dot is quite big and blurry. The hawke vantage reddot is much better.

Got another toy to accompany the Black Arrow. An old model HW70. Boxed with leaflet. Pretty rare package I think.
