Webley tempest

Bit thin really...buy I've used it without any ill effects.
But better would be something heavier like a an older motor oil...
Weboil was 30 weight motor oil if that helps.

I'll second that, motor oil.
Same here........but I bet in the not too distant past, for many Webley owners, 3-in-One was probably the go-to lubrication for most household and hobby items. It certainly was when I was a lad and it resided in the cupboard under the sink with the Brasso and Flit fly spray!

Old thread but thought I'd mention my Tempest that my brother took me to buy when I was 14 (that was allowed then) is 46 years old, I used to use gear oil as was recommended for a while
In the last 10 years I've used 3-1 sparingly and it's very healthy on it.
It's had two springs, breech seals and piston seals, used very regularly.

Well worth looking after.....they are great pistols! 3-in-1, obviously kept your Tempest working. i've got three and have just finished refurbishing another!
