I am hankering after something like the above for plinking, every one i have seen has much less than half the legal limit allowed for a pistol, does anybody know why this is and is there one that attains 5ish ftlbs, this isnt a thread on power adjusting, just which would be the best out of the carton to buy, the ads mostly give the power in velocity rather than ftlbs which i presume is as the power is set so much lower than it really needs to be.

More power would mean less shots from your CO2 capsule. These are never going to be used for shooting living things so higher power isn't needed. Paper targets and tin cans all get seriously upset even with the low power output.
My CO2 pistols all manage around 60 decent shot from a capsule.

Again...why do you think you need it?

Just because you can do something doesn't make it a good idea unless you have a need for it.

But if you know the slightest thing about CO2 guns you'll know...

1. It would be very loud and not garden friendly at all.
2. It takes a lot of gas to do it especially with a short barrel.
3. It takes even more gas to do it a revolver as they aren't as well sealed.
4. You'd probably be lucky to get 10-15 shots per cart. in a revolver even if it was doable.
5. It would definitely need to be .22
6. You're gonna need a better backstop!

And thats why not ...
 
Funky Friday says replica semi automatic pistols/revolvers should be low powered.
Because they're fun target guns..
Plus we're not quite yet at Armageddon.
When we are I'm all in on the unlimited power stakes..

Thanks for the info re it being a replica so low powered,
I obviously dont want to hunt or use it for pest control, i have adequate gear for that as and when required,
I wanted it for going right through bean cans at a good distance,
I think i will give up on the idea after the info,
Appreciate all the answers and advice though,

For me they are great fun at the range and without a doubt not suitable for any type of pest control.
Not super accurate but adequate with practice (Work in progress) nice to hold & possibly display for the nicer looking ones.
It's more sentimental than practical. đź‘Ť

I've not had any problems with mine going through cans. It doesn't punch through like a 12ft/lb rifle but, this means that sometimes a pellet will do interesting things - like one time I shot multiple thin pieces of wood and the pellet left a nice round hole in the first, the second had a comic-book style outline where the pellet had gone through sideways, and it had gotten stuck in the third. Plus, you get 6 shots as fast as you can pull the trigger.

tbh I understand the need for power as I also like some can destruction, but unfortunately you can't get it from CO2, or replicas in general

There is only one Webley CO2 replica revolver, there are none with higher power.

Agreed. One of the attractions of low power is they can be safely used indoors at 6 yards if appropriate precautions are taken.
