Webley Nemesis X PCP

I do wonder why after making a song and dance advertising the PCP as 12 ft lbs (and selling a fair number at that power) they reduced it after a few months to only guarantee 9 ft lbs. Which is not to say it cannot/ is not doing rather more than that. But if they fettled it to reduce the power, then there must have been a reason. And I have not heard any grumbles about reliability of the full power version.

Hi as anyone tried to increase the power on the .177 version mine is only putting out 8.5ftlb my own fault for not checking before buying. would upgrading the Hammer spring be the answer, say the same as the Kral NP02 or is it a matter of regulator tweaking tried to get advice from Highland outdoors and others but stone walled

I took my sons back to the RFD we bought it from and it was exchanged with in a week by the supplier / manufacturer had them crono it before we left doing 11flbs 👍

I bought mine second hand on Guntrader as the saying goes you live and learn. I am going to take it to bits this weekend and see if i can try and work it out, my feeling is it must be the hammer spring that's needing upgraded to a stiffer one to open the value more for the .177 to get the air pressure as a .22 doesn't need as much pressure that would explain why the .22 are doing 11FTLB and the .177 8.5-9FTLB i would think Webley have the same setup for -1.77 and .22 guns if the setup is the same as KRAL guns

Take some photos whe you do id be interested know how it goes 👍

I'd be careful. Why did the manufacturer advertise big time at 12 ftlb then subsequently backtrack to sub9? Yes that is definitely what they did. On the PCP version. Highland have some explaining to do.
They have confirmed the sub9 figure to me by email. So later purchasers must expect sub 9.

very interested in one of these in .177

question for owners/long term users - how's the reliability? i've done a web search but can't seem to find any posts regarding leaks and/or potential faults which I suppose can be taken a few ways. I'm very familiar with bottle & reg setup as i've rebuilt a couple of my paintball ones over the years so I have no worries on that score but what about the rest of the gun? and is the barrel exit offset against the front of the stock or is there room for a shroud? there doesn't look much of a gap from the pictures

I bought mine in March earlier this year, was tested at the rfd and was around the 11ft lb range I think. I’ve put maybe 800 pellets through it with no issues.
There’s not much clearance around the top of the barrel only 2 or 3 mm.

Unfortunately they are prone to leaks but are very straightforward if you're not intimidated by getting stuck in.

If you know what you're potentially taking on and have the ability then I would recommend, if not then don't.

Anything more major is a problem, as previously mentioned spares appear not to exist presently.

My son opted for the CO2 version 1st and 2nd ones leaked upgraded to the PCP and that ended up shooting 8flbs swapped again at the RDF and had it tested @11flbs no leaks on either PCP stupidly accurate 25 -30 yds for its price tag. Get a good moderator they absolutely bark!

I've shot thousands of pellets through my .22 and the only issue I've had was bolt went stiff and started firing off when cocking the bolt back... turned out was just the screw behind the bolt loosening off. Easy fix. Also can confirm my power over a string of pellets averages 11.6ftlbs. Best thing with this being a ratter, its so light compared to other rifles at just 2kg unscoped

The latest update on underpowered.177 I have tried new hammer springs same length but stiffer and longer same stiffness no joy either can't cock it or it leaves the valve open venting air down the barrel next will be to check the regulator psi output of the HPA bottle I suspect it's been set to run lower than the 1000 psi max on the gun my thoughts its been set as standard to 800 psi. Regulator shims and an HPA bottle pressure test gauge next to order.

the anti-tamper bolt at the back of the grip was a pain but was able to use a left-hand drill to remove it and replace it with a normal-headed star bolt (no scrapping my hand now on the sharp anti-tamper bolt)

till the next time !!
