Water Target.

i used to love shooting at cans ,balloons
etc floating in big shallow puddles from the top of hills at long range, great help to see where the impacts were.
 
Had another thought for flowing water etc as you might find one used cheap, Worx make a Pressure washer that feeds from any source and runs off power tool batteries, they have adjustible flow (or atleast mine does) so can pretty much make it do what you want.

Thats what I do at the farm I rarely check my zero on paper it's usually cow pats, clumps of mud or puddles.

Yes that is obvious I will protect the back of the plastic bowl incase the pellet skims the surface of the water. I could completely submerge the tube but I don't think that will cause a splash I will have a good play later today.
 
Watching Robot Wars a few years back gave me an idea for a fun game.

Two man(or woman) teams with a radio control boat and a rifle. One drives the boat, the other shoots at the oppositions boat with the air rifle. Last team still afloat wins.

Well if you want any of the Gubbins I've got to use for your experiments feel free, theres a Nimitz up there too, same idea as the Titanic with motors etc, I haven't built them yet as they need space I havent currently got to display etc, fish tank pumps someone able bodied will have to find as they got stored in one of the sheds years ago, forget their flow rating but they are designed for larger tanks so will give oomph if wanted.
 
Well I just tried out the target and it was a bit of a damp squib 😂👎 It worked ok but was nothing special I think I will stick to making spinners and knockdowns 😊

Yes I have to try all my targets sometimes what works in my head is a total flop 😂

I wasn't going to sell them Tony they are simple to make with a piece of tubing.

Well, you've given me a good idea.

Got plenty of copper pipe, copper plate and solder myself.

So, I might just nick your idea and try something myself. 😉
 
Well my offer is open to Tony too if he wants to try it, just don't try cheapo fish tanks as they aren't always made with the right Glass so may pose a danger with any mishaps (used to be a fish keeper and still play occasionally with Micro aquariums).
Both Ships clock about a foot and a half so you'll need atleast that in length and depth if you want one to sink.

Don't worry. It'll be a few weeks before I start this project.

Fair enough, I don't think it'll be sailing off anytime soon so will probably be about when you're ready, that new plan would be handy with edible Chestnuts too round christmas time, just as the song goes Chesnuts roasting on an open fire, thwack BOOM

It's just a shame Thunder Snaps are now banned in the UK. ☹️
There's nothing else that comes anywhere near as good as they are/were. Good job I've got a few left. 😉
 
Could they be brought in still privately though? if still legal maybe on of the lads abroad could come to an agreement to send them over.
I can't have Snaps around the pooch unfortunately as even him being safely in the Living room on the otherside of the house the bang still scares him otherwise the Nutcracker Soldiers I've got planned for Christmas shooting would get some additions.
