Hi.
I have been mainly working on farms and private lands in Yorkshire and Cumbria but it is no longer convenient for me so I am seeking permissions withing or around the Preston area, and I would greatly appreciate and leads or advice. Thank you. Paul.

Hello, When i started ratting on my friends farm around 20 years ago they were paying about £400 a month for Pest Control which was only a few rat boxes around the buildings and cow parlour, since then i have shot 1000s of rats at no charge

Wow that somewhat surprises me, but I suppose if it repays then it is just a business expenditure.
I have wondered before about people who make a living from it so it is good information.
 
Not only are we free,but the landowner gets extra eyes around
the property. also i provide extra visits when landowners are away, and i also
with some landowners am a keyholder,
i have been with some of my shoots for more than 20yrs.

Personally I would be very wary of offering "eradication", especially in a business transaction regarding pests. I've known rat shoots shot for years and the rats have never been totally eradicated. I can just imagine a canny farmer or pig farm owner saying " when i paid you, you said eradicated and they're still there". Charge 100 quid and have to shoot it for the next 20 years lol....control yes, eradicate?.. thats a big promise. Also, As said above, there's a few pest species on that website that ive never heard of in this country.....something not quite right here maybe. Just my thoughts.

I'm sure he's genuine and has a pretty ropey website and Yell listing etc, but to come on here effectively touting for business thinly disguised as looking for perms is a bit cheeky to say the least. Best bit are his prices ...

Our Basic Rates

Rats & Mice £140 per visit
Squirrels £180 per visit
Pigeons & Birds £120 per visit
Rabbits £120 per visit
Foxes £210 per visit

All rates are negotiable and subject to change
