Im interested to know people thoughts on vortek vs tbt drop in kits. My hws all bar one have tbt in them and they are a .massive improvement on standard. Just curious to know why vortek are nearly twice the price and are they worth it?

The Vortek has one advantage, the top hat design, makes cutting a spring so much easier, well it would for me anyway, no grinder.

WW, TBT and Vortek all very good.

Are Vortek imported so dearer?

Worth it ? Dunno. I have a few & they're a good product. They ( Vorteks) use a shorter/ stiffer spring, compared to most( for same application) & thus give a quick shot cycle...if that ain't your thing, then...
Not had any of Nick's goodies yet, so can't comment. Jim Maccari ( Air Rifle Headquarters) makes some fine products , as well.

I used to buy Maccari springs many years ago. They are very good👍

I have used TBT, Welsh Willy, Eaglevisioncam and TR Robb kits on HW, AA, Diana and Cometa. Apart from one TBT kit they all been fine. Not used a Vortek kit, pricey and always out of stock when I have been looking to get one.

I have a Welsh Willy kit in my tx and it’s super smooth to shoot with no twang whatsoever. And I have a vortek kit in my hw30 which is also really really smooth to shoot, both .177.
Can’t really compare them though as the hw30 is almost half the power , both lovely to shoot though 👍
