I had a whole day free today so decided to make the 1hr drive to Solware in Tamworth, they always have a ridiculous choice of rifles! Sadly for me, most of their guns are .177 (the fairy calibre) and nothing in .25 which I've been really wanting for a while.
They had a .177 Reximex Lyra K ex demo for £350 in the rack....whilst holding it someone had phoned the shop and reserved it so it got taken off me
They also had a great deal on the funky Reximex Myth for £360! Strangely it's called "thunder" yet has a lightning design
a bloody bargain no less but I managed to stop myself buying it as I'd truly want it in .25
My son loved it and nearly swayed me but I stayed strong
He also liked this monstrosity
After a quick stop at Subway it was onwards to Leicestershire Airguns, last time I visited it was just after covid and all the rifles were behind glass which made browsing almost impossible BUT the shop has now opened right up and is a great shop that I can recommend!

After browsing through all the racks I stopped at the Kral Empire XS tiny bullpup, £500 new or £400 used. Annoyingly they were both .177 and I just don't want to own a .177 again, especially a rifle with a lower shot count that makes it more noticeable. However I did dry fire it and it felt nice to cock and fire.
This gun shop also has an added shop for airsoft guns so next to look at was that section...

At least this grenade launcher isn't .177
I then spent then next hour drooling over all the replicas I love
Anyway after visiting 2 great shops and handling many guns, the only money I spent was on 2 sandwiches
I'm fussy but I think it's really a .25 PCP I want unless it's a nice compact .22 that I'll enjoy shooting.
That Kral Empire XS really grabbed my attention, if only it was .22......
Anyway both shops were a 1 hour drive from me and well worth the drive, I definitely recommend them
