First day out with the victory cp2 177 wasn't really warm enough for co2 think it reached about 12.C however still 15mm groups at 25 yards bench rested. The silencer on these is most excellent. Was very surprised by how quiet it was. I appreciate they only a very cheap low powered gun. Much better to hold with @BobP stock.

This was my average readings. As you can see from the temperature it wasn't the best. But I was trying different pellet weights but a few times forgot to change the profile back to 7.4g from 8.4g

This was straight out of the box. I havent cleaned or polished or had a tinker yet with this one. I expect it's full of nasty stuff.

Ther great once there recrowned. Even better when moded to the max. To be honest there good value for money in my opinion.
Yep already have a cp1m which shoots most excellent. Once I've been over cp2 ect I'm sure it will do even better.

Lovely job
Love my two
A very underrated & cheap rifle
Very tuneable 👍

I’ve often thought about picking one up as I’ve heard they’re great short range ratters.
Think most ratters go for the .25 then tune it up. But I like to go to the range and target shoot, so max shots at 6+ ft I can get out of it. I'm no serious range shooter yet. Just somewhere to go now and again. Think the FX V2. Chronograph is awesome bit of kit too.

I had a 177 originally, got a few rats with it. However, max distance i used it at was 15yards or less.
The 22 I now have I haven't tried against vermin yet, but no doubt it will be effective at the ranges I use it. I can't say how good at longer distances.

Well I'm actually surprised it actually shot anywhere near 6ft yesterday. The black thick gunk that lined the barrel is horrendous. Lol. But it will shoot better now. 😬

I've actually started to look at the CP2 pistol/rifle recently, because I'm thinking of buying my first ever non spring pistol and I've never even considered buying one that's powered by a Co2 capsule before.

But I can't make my mind up about which calibre to go for, should I ever decide to take the plunge that Is. So without starting any kind of calibre debate, Is there any preferable calibre that suits this pistol more than any of the others?

My first thoughts would be to go for the 177 calibre, simply because of the shorter distances that the pistol would be used at and for the obviously flatter trajectory of the smaller pellet.

For me in any pistol is 177. This 17inch barrel is good enough for co2 177 though just remember temperature is a big factor in these guns. People tweak these guns but I prefer target work so don't overdo do it. One thing is they are very accurate.

How many shots are you getting from a canister?
Using my CP1M I get 36 at around 5.2ft then a few more at around 4ft. I use up 5 magazines 9 shots per co2. Note the last two are probably around 3.5ft.

Same amount on CP2 but higher fps But temperatures haven't been the best. But 45 and co2 is completely empty.

Not too bad then. I bet they'd made a great barn rifle. Surprising shot count from such small canisters.

from what I can see, many PCP pistols get about the same per fill. However they are mostly regulated so obviously better.

I'm slowly coming round to the idea of C02 to be honest. I've never considered one but the more I look into it these days the more interested I'm getting.

My mrs' uncle raves on about his old c02 rifle (rabbit destroyer) and I've always shrugged it off. It's growing on me.
