Chaps,

Some of you guys may be interested in the below, quick review of a recent VA purchase.

Recently purchased a Vector Optics 3x18x44 FFP Orion from Vector Air and I have to say im very impressed for the money.
Nice clear glass, decent reticle, good turret adjustment and fantastic value for money at just over £160 delivered from Vector air after applying the AAR discount code.
As a comparison against my Element Helix I would say the VA is 90% as good, the element has better turret adjustment "feel" but the VA still adjusts lovely, and the zero set stop is a bit less fiddly.
In summary a cracking scope for the money, would I buy another, absolutely, would I buy another element at more than double the price?
Absolutely not at the moment but I guess time will tell on longevity, the Orion seems to be just as well built so I can't see why it shouldn't.

Vector Optics do seem to be the better of the budget/affordable brands. I had one of their small prismatics on my M&P 1522 to tide me over for a few weeks. I was quite surprised with how good the glass is at that price point.
Know a few other guys who have one model or another who seem to be happy with theirs. The turrets aren't the most repeatable but if your not planning to use it as a dialling scope that doesn't really matter.

Put one in my TX200HC having seen the offer on his channel review. Impressed with it, though got some new one piece mounts for it, as there was movement within the rings.
Most of my scopes are VOs or their subsidiaries

Yeah I’ve just ordered some sportsmatch mounts for mine, although it’s nice to see they add a couple of options included in the price, even if they are a bit on the cheaper side 👍

I’ve got 1 on my Rapid and the newer zero stop version on my .22 rimmy

Great scopes, very nice illuminated rets with a 🔴 which is very good as the rets are a little on the this side for my liking

I picked one up at vector air several months ago and was sold on it, I’d just got a veyron so had to wait a while, but glad I got it, excellent scope for the money
