Anyone using one for FT. Thinking of buying a side focus scope Nikko diamond, falcon x50 etc. currently using my old faithful Bushnell elite but my eyes are changing a bit these days.

Get the Falcon T50i or the 50i+, both excellent scopes with great glass and cheaper than the X50.

I shoot on 32 also. I used a MK3 nikko in 2008. With that I ranged on 50 and shot on 30.

Yeah I will ask at the club see if I can have a look through one. I can still manage with the old faithful Bushnell 8-32x but I would like something a bit easier and adding weight to my rig would be a bonus for me.

The Bushy will take a fair bit of beating.
I love mine - but do admit my old Big BSA is reliable and a hell of a lot more comfortable to range with. For as long as it lasts that is - I'm expecting the taters to drop off it at some point.
I might push the boat out in 26 and buy the March I fancy - or I might go to Mallorca for a fortnight instead.......

Regarding the Vector Optics Continental 6-48x56, I can tell you it's very accurate in rangefinding.

I had the Delta Stryker 5-50x56, which is also a very good scope, but I find the Vector's discrimination is more on/off.
The Falcon T50 also does the job, but not quite at the same level; I preferred the Nikko Mk3.

A friend owns the X50, and it's superb as well.

Now, it must be said that manufacturers are fiercely competing for market share, consequently, quality levels are constantly rising, which is good news for us...

How does the t,50i+ range though compared ? Is it as snappy as the x503?

Anyone tried the continental?
I bought the 50 for bench rest and it's almost on par as my Delta 5-50, I like it so much I'm going to get another, for the money it's a bloody good scope, the glass is very good with no distortion, colour bleed etc.

Personally I can't understand why someone would buy a Vector Sentinel (as an example) when for a little bit more you can get the 50 which is a far superior scope.

An important point in comparisons is undoubtedly to use one's own eyes, depending on certain parameters such as health and age. I'm not an expert, but I like to say, each gun has its ammunition, each eye its scope.
My favorite to date is a scope that must be over 20 years old, a Leupold 20-50, the first one I bought second-hand.

Absolutely. Have you used it for FT ranging as so wondering how "snappy" they are
