Hi,
I am looking at a used Pulsar/Red Wolf and I was wondering if anyone with more experience than myself, could give me a ball park figure on the used price of these guns please?
From reading the posts they are very similar accuracy wise so it's just personal preference. Although I am slightly siding with the Pulsar.
TIA
Jim

I've recently solf my Pulsar Forester Laminate on the Forum £1250 but it was absolutely mint. A mint redwolf (Blue or Red) would be much the same or slightly higher if in mint condition. Obviously, the later versions might command a higher price.
Hope that helps. 👍

There's been a green laminate pulsar with a few mags on here for 850 for a few weeks that hadn't sold. So guess like 750/800?

Its probably average condition for that price. Unfortunately, folk are unaware just how good this gun accuctully is. Still, as always, it's a buyers market.🤪

Is still in sales if it hasn't dropped off. Was in good nick.

I've had one before I loved it.

A decent Pulsar should get £1000 all day long, and yes, I've seen the one in sales and it's a bargain, but it's not in a popular colour, which is the only thing I think could be holding it back, personally, a really nice one in a sought after colour is worth more like £1100/1150, I know mine have all been super accurate, and no issues at all, just like my Red Wolves, and I still have one of each in my collection. I think the RW is worth just a bit more, mainly because it's a regular rifle rather than a BP design, because performance is so close. £1250 for a good RW is a starting point, you will have more choice of them around the £1400 mark though.

Thank you for the replies and they seem to tie in with the prices I am seeing.
The ones from trade seem to be around £1100 and some private sales around £900-1000
Unfortunately I cannot access the classified yet until I have qualified or I would probably be looking seriously at the one for sale as I am not that fussed as what the stock is.
Regarding the Red Wolf your figures seem spot on from what I am seeing sometimes above the £1400 mark.

Also regarding buying used is there anything in particular that I need to check on the gun before buying?
I'm not talking about the usual scratches/dints etc and firing it (if possible) I'm thinking maybe something on the electronics or is there nothing to check in that regard?
Also would you Chorno it (with heavy pellets) to ensure it's running sub 12ft/lb

Yes..... apart from dents and dings. Chrono testing is imperative, as they can sometimes be overpowered with heavier pellets and there's not really much you can do about it, apart from return to Daystate to rectify.
Best to check prior to purchase. 👍

Also, you might want to consider the software version, as version 2 will give you shot count, that’s on the redwolf, not sure about pulsar

How do you know it's version 2 software please?
Is it as simple as it states that when it's turned on?

I believe so, and as far as I could tell, the only difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2, is Gen 2 will give a shot count in single shot mode, there may be slight differences, personally disappoint there was no battery indicator
