Umarex silver shells?

This colour mix does my head in, and the fact I am 2 short for the full case means I cannot look at it for very long 😄

Yep no that right there makes every ounce of my being want to scream 😂 I actually just ordered more silver to fill a box because it's driving me insane

I don't remember them being too expensive? I think I got them from the Woflman
As to what metal they are I can only guess at a cheap alloy, certainly not magnetic and I doubt brass, probably the same monkey metal blanks put through a different industrial passivation or whatever colour plating process.

I might strip the plating off a silver and a brass, I am guessing its the same underneath.

I spray painted a mag gold to fit with the rest of the nonsense bling I put on a rifle, surprisingly hard wearing, but that would mean I would have to spray all of the pellet carrying slugs a that colour does not match the rest 😄

I am SUPER curious what they're both like under the plating, I can't find the material anywhere beyond "metal" (this includes umarex's own spec sheet 🤦‍♀️)

I'm impressed with that gold spray though, that actually looks great? How did you manage that

Sorry but you need a check-up from the neck up if you do not believe these are some of THE most gorgeous rounds you have ever seen!

Doesn't exactly scream wild west though does it 😆

Maybr not, but these are actually USED in what was the wild west for taking down big animals.
I wouldn’t mind betting the Winchester 1895 presented to Teddy Roosevelt had Nickle plated ammo supplied with it! 😉

(Having shot one of the Ltd Ed replicas, they may well have been made of sliver for what they cost!😳)

I'm used to painting, but did minimal prep TBH with this rattle can stuff that has good reviews, just a good wash and dry with IPA.

I'm going to spin off the coating on one of each for interest tomorrow. Then probably spray tasteless gold to give me more OCD in the slug case 🤣

Okay apparently there is a secret society of silver bullet lovers and I'm happy for you all but I like brass and I'm sorry 😂

Please keep me informed if you do, and thank you for the link! I'm going to do some digging and maybe have a little arts and crafts project on

Well you've got me filing stuff now!
These aren't Umarex but I lightly filed down the end of one of these ASG/Barra ones and it looks like steel.
Useless information for you though!

And..... It's not magnetic, it just looked a bit different to the last pot metal item I had to file down

Thought with Umarex, silver came with pistols, brass came with rifles. I've got both colours for my rifles, as I found the silvers were cheaper.
