Umarex Beretta 92fs

"N"th hand (I am, at least, the third owner), a bit beaten up but works well. Time to gently tidy up.

I have one of these and it is very accurate, relatively speaking for a CO2 replica, but I thoroughly dislike the magazine system. I've lost count of the number of times it has dropped out and/or shed some pellets.

So just decided to re visit this pistol ( thanks to this thread ).
Just tried the washer method under co2 and got a nice clean puncture.

No luck !!

Just tried out in garden.
Can watch the pellet exit.
Pellet drops after 15 foot !!
Max distance shooting straight ahead at arms length is about 25 foot before it hits the floor.
I could throw the pellet faster and with more distance.
Any ideas ????
Or is it just a wall hangar ?

Bought this from a member of the old forum 2 days before it went down with no way of contacting them. Was originally worried in case it did not arrive but it did so all seemed well - that is until I tried it.
Just put it away until now and decided on a closer look having been reminded by this thread.

Love the pistol though - if only it worked !!
Had the same problem with mine, took it to the local gun shop, Vector Air in Nottinghamshire, they sorted it out with just a thorough. Still don't like it but it does shoot well. clean

After reading this thread, I checked the slop in the Beretta hammer, and sure enough it was a tad floppy.
Here is a fix most people can accomplish.
Instead of dismantling the pistol, I decided to mimic a modification I made on a PP700, which is to drill and tap the hammer to accept a grub screw, making it hit the valve pin with greater force.
I stuffed a cloth behind the hammer to catch any swarf, and proceeded to drill a 5/32 hole from front to back. I then tapped it to M5X8, and installer a short grub screw, backed up with an additional grub screw to lock the first one in place.
After blowing out the area with air, I put a cartridge in it and tried it out. All I can say is that it made a huge difference. The way it is installed allows one to adjust for hammer weight. Hope this helps.
