Hello all,
I have a BSA Ultra CLX sidelever version in .22 bought new last year.
I'm very happy with it overall but the "ping" on firing is annoying.
What DIY solutions have you had success with?
I've read about pieces of kit installed inside the cylinder or materials wrapped around the cylinder to reduce the resonance.
RatWorks have a de-pinger that works with the hammer which seems a good idea as it addresses the problem at source but before I go down that route, are there simpler solutions I should try first?
If possible, I'd like to avoid stripping the gun down. I'm happy working on springers but I'm a novice working on PCPs and have a keen respect for high pressure air!
I have a shroud fitted so there's not much clearance between the cylinder and the shroud.
