Trigger weight

A guy in my club had this 500g metal weight. It’s maybe about 20 odd cms long and costs around £60.
I think I’ll give the digital gauge a go actually. It’ll allow me to tinker with the trigger weight at home.
So your pull weight would have to be 500g minimum?

I am new to shooting, I bought an HFT 500 new, read some threads on here about cleaning, biro springs, yada yada yada, so at the weekend, after being not entirely happy with the pull weight, I cleaned, took a grinder to the sears and stole my wifes Biro's, the result is 150 grams, cost my wife one pen!
More importantly I now know what that weight feels like going forward & what to look for whenever I get to shoot something else, which if you haven't shot much at all is really helpful.
hope you haven't removed the case hardening on the sear mating surfaces or they will wear

Read a lot on here, did some searches, couldn't find anything specific for HFT500, but it seems some people won't go under 2000 grit, Sub 12 Airgunner hands and fingers man, started at 800 grit  I wasn't that brave, I have some super fine lapping paper I use for Chisels, just moved the sears gently over them where I best thought, more to make sure there were no burrs or anything scratchy 👍

purchased a cheep trigger scale just for fun and curiosity. So tonight I tried My FWB 300, AA s400 and my HW30, all three guns are set up for bell target. The other night I was reading about pistol target triggers need to be above 500g so now i'm questioning my findings for the three above rifles.
The FWB 300 and the AA s400 both recorded 90g and my HW30 recorded 190g.
What do you think? Are the recorded values way off?
This is what I used.

A Rekord in reasonable standard trim will run at 6oz (170g) happily. Polished and lubed carefully down to around 3oz.

If it is set up for a decent crisp break I'm not convinced an ounce or two really matters all that much.

Because each gun is different.
I adjust them to feel right for each individual gun.
As above for me. Personally l don’t see the need to know the trigger weight, it’s about what feels right. My FWB300 target rifle trigger is very light where as my R10 hunter is not so for obvious reasons.
