When I sit with it, I have to open the legs wide to lower it enough, this means the rubber feet are almost side on so it won't grip and the feet slide around.
So I'm looking for a solution, anyone got any ideas?
I have a few ideas of my own like spikes or something.

I bought one of these, not cheap. Waste of money for me.
When I stand with it I sway a bit left/right with it so useless really.

Sticks are designed for standing shooting not really sitting and although some are better than others when in the low wide position. You are better off with a bench if you want to shoot seated as it’s gong to be more stable.

It sounds like you have not got a stable position behind the sticks when standing. If you have tension then that will translate to lateral movement also.

Take a look at this video, it is a bit long winded and he is talking about deer hunting with quad sticks that have the rear support, but it’s the position that is the important bit and will help you even as you only have the fore end rested on the trigger sticks.

I have used my primos tripod sticks
for seated ambush shooting for several years
with no problems,i would not be without them.
great piece of kit.
