I keep saying I'll do the same.

I'm trying to decide what I think

It was quite dirty in places and the movement is gritty. The blade has a bit of movement when closed.

But, it is very solid, came very sharp and locks up solidly and securely. The blade is very sharp and the whole thing feels like it'll last forever. Its a definite classic. The sheath is very nice too.

I guess it wasn't finished or presented quite as well as I had expected, but it does feel dependable and bombproof.

Overall I think it is just a bit overpriced but still a decent knife. Glad I got it.

They used to come boxed with a prayer printed out on a sheet of paper. A bit naff over here but possibly went down well in the U.S.? Copy from the internet below:

I was offered a very old one years ago but I declined it . Had plenty of clones on them though.

My old Boss had one and used it daily pretty much for cutting meat for his lunch. He used to bring in chunks of venison and cut them with the Buck to go on his bread . He had kitchen knives in the small kitchen in the work shop but used the Buck.
