Spy mics on these sorts of headsets give you superhuman hearing picking up on noises you wouldn't normally hear and it's directional too.

Why not have gun carried over shoulder then sticks in one hand spotter in the other as you are using the spotter to locate quarry you won't need your rifle ready will you..

ive tried the hat type buy found i had to keep adjusting as it docent stay put like a helmet, your bet bet may just be a cheap airsoft helmet with the front mounting point.

that or zip tie the thermal/nv to your shooting stick lol

Same here,just ran out of hands,sticks in one hand gun in the other,spotter round neck,I walk for miles.

This but with rifle slung across my chest, spotter on sling round my neck, trigger sticks in left hand horizontal.
