That was fun! I started with the Sand Scorcher and it did the usual thing: A wheel fell off before I got the battery in it!

i do remember as a lad the frustration mingled with joy at owning my Tamiya. On those rare days when it lasted the whole ten minutes the battery could get without something breaking, it was a memory to keep forever! I only had one battery, my paper round only paid £4.10 a week.
Anyway, I am pretty sure they did 15-18mph stock, the Tamiya “Black” motor was supposed to be good for 20mph. I got 25mph! I’m pretty happy with that and don’t think there’s much point on going for more. On a loose surface it is as much fun as anything else.
Next up was my MJX Hyper Go 14303. Under £100 and nigh on indestructible. I love this little car and tend to get through quite a few sets of tyres. I would like to find some foams for it, I will look later if I remember.
After 20+ minutes of hooning it around on a 3s pack the GPS showed 40mph was the top speed it had reached. It feels faster cos it is so small, and gets much smaller very quickly.
Last up today was the HNR Panther, which I think is the FTX Stinger in the UK. The only change I made to this is putting Corally wheels and tyres on. The stock rubber balloons like crazy on 3s making it virtually uncontrollable.
This is small for a 1/10, which is probably why the 51mph it does feels a lot more. With these sticky tyres, it also corners well and the brakes are very effective. These are a great car, and for the price they are astounding!
It is my 1/7 touring car I have the highest hopes for, but I will have to wait for the new batteries to arrive. I also have doubts as to whether our rc runway has enough length!?
