The British Shooting Show 2026 Purchases Thread

I’m sure next year will be different as will
be run by time well spent. New owner will likely change things. For better or worse… time will tell 😂
Everything just seems to be focused at rifles or target shooting. There isn't any second hand stalls and neither accessories 🤷‍♂️

I wasn’t looking for second hand but I doubt there would be much. It’s all manufacturers and retailers so second hand doesn’t really fit in there. Accessories were a bit light this year I have to say. I’d have happily filled a bag of “stuff” but couldn’t really find anything. As you say most of it was rifle and optics displays. I needed a scope so ok for me but there wasn’t much range.

I also want a carbon dive tank. Zero people selling those either which was a shame

Too expensive for small dealers and shops to have stands, and it is a general shooting show, not air rifle shooting. Due to the costs involved it's likely to become more and more of a shop window for manufacturers and importers than a retail show.

I saw plenty of second hand air rifles/shotguns for for sale albeit at inflated prices.

I didn't see many second hand guns on the go, but those that were seemed a little optimistic in their pricing, though not sure if they were priced at their shop prices with "scope" to negotiate down.
S200 Mk1 .177 with scope and magazine for £350.
MK1 Wildcat with scope for £1250, which seemed well off of the mark.
Optics Wharehouse were offering some discount off of their website price 10-15% on the items I enquired about.

The Shooting Party had 3ltr carbon tanks on sale , plenty there on Sunday morning .

Accessories ? What were you looking for ? There was tons of scope mounts , bipods , stocks , at least a dozen stands with different options .

Bought some pellets from the shooting party. Didn’t spot the tanks. But I wanted a 1ltr anyway so no issue.

All stalls aside from one gunmakers stall had no silicone based gun oil (tried all rfd’s) found some in the end from some chap making a shotgun. Not a shop but a gunmaker.

And none of them had 34mm high scope rings for the s40i I bought. Well one thought they did and sold me some for £90 but they are 30mm so they’re going back.

Toms targets charging more than on their own site which was disappointing.
Very little in the way of plinking or reactive targets.
I would have bought quite a bit of stuff but it just wasn’t there (or hiding out of view).

90% of stalls are trying to sell guns. Which is fine but I have a rifle and a pistol and I don’t need more (I haven’t caught that bug as I’m happy with what I’ve got and don’t see the need for more of the same)

Nobody selling 20gn zan slugs.
Sportsman didn’t have any Drs picatinny rails
Vector optics had no cereto c3’s

I appreciate shops can’t take their entire stock to the show. But I bought about 20% of what was on my shopping list.

Had a good day out but slightly disappointed in what was there.

Last year was better for sure.

I walked past City Air Weapons stall but no one was there nor was there any stock in there, this was on Friday morning not too sure if Bob turned up later or not, that was one of my go to stalls, so a shame

I reckon i should be split into sections Firearms, shotguns, airguns. It kind of is at the moment but not much to look at. Best time was at stoneleigh park i believe.

Anyone see the BSA motorbike I offered to buy it but can’t sell. Went to a gun show and nearly brought a bike 😝

Not sure if you came over to the surplus store but we had DRS Rails High and Low and 34mm mounts on the wall behind the counter , it was very busy and I’d completely understand if you couldn’t even get in the stand , a bit chaotic to say the least .
If you still need both , drop @CrawleySurplusStore a line and I’ll make sure you get sorted out at a show price & free shipping 👍🏼
