My third Aprillia 650 Pegaso - over about 20 years.
Worked out that almost to the day I passed my Motorbike test 30 years ago.
My Dad just said he passed his with the police 56 years ago 😱
44 years ago for me. Seems like yesterday.

So a nice new set of plastics arrived today and so the WERA socket set was put to work…

I’m quite pleased with the result, and although it came with some new blue fork covers, I think the old yellow blend in fine!

I just have to workout how to get the Akrapovic end pipe on…

Right then guys been a while now for me, been a good and bad year, had some stunning track days and had a bad one (you do this sport and things happen, you do what you love) had an off at Mallory Park back in May, broke a rib but got away lightly (I think!!) from start to finish and how things have progressed.

I started with a road bike I did some track days and the bug hit, the intension was there to always turn it to a track bike and I sort of got my hand twisted when the accident happened so, I gathered everything up and started to rebuild to where we are today.

As I said I got away lightly from a 80mph crash/slide

Apropos to this thread I believe.

Two of the coolest bikers I know of are Keanu Reeves and of course Steve McQueen. Both are very similar in their outlook on life and superstardom.

Reeves is a very approachable guy with a true love of motorcycles, he still has his Norton Commando from his college days and rides it regularly as well as now venturing into building high quality bespoke bikes.
He still lives in the same apartment building he lived in early in his career, lives a modest, low key lifestyle, still uses public transport and can still be found pushing a trolley around his local supermarket.
No security guards in sight.

Here he is just about to get on his bike and leave when he is approached by some bikers. Sums him up really.

Great work on converting your 765rs to a track weapon. Looks good. And we all know how capable they are.
I had a big crash at Cadwell in my trackday career in 2014. Broke my collarbone (now I have a titanium one) elbow and wrist. And wrecked my R6. But I did rebuild it over the next year and it saw action again. Mine was full race tuned, full Maxton suspension and it handles so well. I miss those days. Ride safe man. (y)

Ted in Bill and Teds excellent adventure.

Ted in Bill and Teds bogus journey.

Neo in The Matrix and the sequels.

John Wick in the John Wick trilogy.

Constantine in the series of films.

Loads more.

Cheers Andy, pretty normal for the collarbone to go, in fact they are made to go to stop more damage internally (so I have been told by a safety guy from RST leathers.) Nice setup there. Biggest and best up grade suspension set up pound for pound best thing you can spend your money on. Not long had the front forks resprung, seals, oil and air gap done, rear spring is right weight for me but I want some more adjustment so K-Tech DDS shock will go in. The Ohlins shock is okay but basic in terms of adjustment for track.

I haven't heard of any of that list either! It must films or pop music or something boring like that. But thanks for filling me in.

I’m thinking of buying a BMW 800GS any thoughts ? I’m a tall lad so do like a ‘Trail’ style.
Any experience anyone ?

Failing that o might just get a cheap Aprillia Pegaso 650. I’ve had a few over the years and spotted this on autotrader. It’s waaaay too expensive but Mmmmmm. I do love em.
