Hi all
Im currently using a reximex ixia .177 for target shooting at the range pretty consistent a heavy gun though not that it matters an a bench
But wanting something more
Like the air arms s510
Would have a budget of around 700 as already have scope ect
What would your recommendations be
I do like tactical looking more but not a deal breaker
Thanks all as always an excellent forum

Great thanks
I will check that one out see what happens
Did have some advice last week as to a single shot rather than magazine due to movement oh and pellets lasting longer lol
All advice is Appreciated

I wouldn't bet on pellets lasting longer. Unless you have 5+ magazines and load them before you get to the range, it's surprising how many you can single load in the time you'd spend reloading a mag

Another vote for an…..

HFT-500

SSL's will slow down your shooting which may result in greater consistency and accuracy but I do not believe that a good quality magazine makes a gun inherently less accurate. I have a Rowan SSL on my AA S510 but it still involves moving parts. I will concede that a loading tray, where you simply lay the pellet in the tray, could be better in the right hands but I'm not good enough to see any measurable difference.

You see, this is where I disagree with you

I've owned and tested dozens of guns over the years, and none of my target rifles have ever had a magazine (for a reason), and although there are some good magazines out there - the HW100 one for an example, without exception, I've tested loads of guns like BSA Ulrta/R10, Daystate Revere/Mk4is/Red Wolves...........the list goes on, and in every occasion when testing with a mag and a single shot loder, the mag was less accurate overall Shrug tt

Just one such test below, I'm sure there will always be an odd exception, but you won't find a competition shooter in the UK at the top of their game using anything other than a single shot loading system ;)
