target pistol

I wonder if "seller's regret" makes people hang on to them? If you sell a rifle or normal pistol and later regret it, it's usually not a difficult replacement, but with target pistols the opposite is true.

I'm a leftie, so it's even worse - if you see a gun you like you them might have to lay out £200 for a new grip for it, so the economics rarely make sense and you'd be as well buying a new one.

Have you considered the Snowpeak PP20? At the price it's a good way to see if 10m pistol is for you, and should be very easy to move on when you get the chance to upgrade. I would include the Precihole but I think the grip lets it down a bit.

I feel your pain, i quite fancy a 10m pistol, but like you i'm a lefty, i saw the offer at pellpex for the gamo compact, but the l/h one is full price, asked if it could be reduced as i was going to buy both r & l handed one's but they didn't come back to me

Consider adding in the Hammerli AP20 Pro into that list .. I bought the club version which is just under 200 GBP cheaper then the Pro however the club grip does need replacing one day as it will hold you back and Walther wooden grips are just over 200 GBP (with the adaptor needed) also the Pro has the tube cylinder (another £180) which has the pressure gauge in the end, the club needs the cylinder removed to check its pressure (I prefer the Pro cylinder look too).. so my club ended up costing more than a Pro

Another alternative if you can find one, is the Tesro PA10 which is a AP20 copy

Feinwerkbau P8X
steyr lp 2 full length
~walther 500

are my thoughts at the mo
Quite different price points there

The P8X is a superb pistol and top of the FWB range
The LP2 is the basic Steyr model
The Wather can come in a variety of specs

All will probably outshoot most shooters.
I'd advise handling the ones you fancy before stumping up
All the grips are very different, and the grip on whatever you choose, has to be right.

I loved the P8X but found the grip on my mate's LP500 Expert far more comfortable, in fact it fitted like the proverbial glove

looking from 600-1100 max

right handed, medium size grip not to dear
Steyr
Morini
Feinwerkbau
Walther lp
