We've got the thread about "What gun do you want next" (clearly miss-titled as should blatantly be guns, but I digress), so to probably shine a more accurate light on what happens with our cupboard spaces...".what gun(s) did you not even know you wanted". You know the ones, they'd never even occurred to you, you may not have even known they existed. Then one day you're minding your own business...and there it is. Next thing you know you've adopted it to save it from a life of miss-treatment and loneliness.

I came to regret selling my Steyr H5A at the height of the 'are they banned' frenzy, but at the time I had something north of a grand in my pocket, and I went looking for a FX, can't remember the model now.

While I was at the dealers, in Heavitree Road, Exeter, they pointed out a Verminator Mark 2. I had never considered a take down rifle, but this fitted me like a glove. I had to have it, and still have, use it most weeks.

Rich-I had never seen a Mk 2 Verminator in the flesh, certainly never considered owning one. At the Kelmarsh Game Fair, circa 2012, I was running the Daystate "have-a-go" range. Next to us, was that charity that promoted shooting to youngsters. One of the lads manning it, was using a Verminator with an MTC Connect scope.
I had a go with it and could hardly believe how well balanced it was, it was a complete joy to shoot free-standing-10 shots, 10x knockdowns hit.
A real fun gun.

HW100X S laminate adjustable
I used to have an early model HW100S for years and really liked it, but I sold it years back. It was a nice gun but I wasn't using it and I needed the cash for something else. Never really had an HW100 shaped hole in my life...

Until I saw the new one!

All of them.
This, honestly. It's not until you see one that you can possibly know you want it. Aesthetics counts for a lot with me, whatever I'm buying, which is why I will probably never own a bullpup. If you have one and like it, I'm pleased for you, but I've never seen one, air or powder burner, that looks "right" to me. Almost everything I have bought for myself, originally started with me looking at it and thinking "Ooh, that looks nice/cool/good. The Phoenix kind of came to me. I bought it for someone else, because they wanted one. When they couldn't use it anymore, they gave it to me, and I shoot it every now and then, but it doesn't really do much for me. If someone wanted to swap a Daystate Huntsman for it, or a first model Scirocco, I would bite their hand off. Similar with the Park. It seemed technically interesting, but until I can get it working, I won't really know how I feel about it.

I was not in the market for an AK

I can't use this AK it at my range because it's BB

I have yet to shoot this AK, I don't even know if it works because I'm not particularly excited by the thought of being spotted in the garden with it and having to explain to the police that no it's fine, I'm a fully hinged human actually

BUT LOOK AT IT

My first Mark1 TX200. First saw 2 of them, at a FT match, and I had a Mark3. A year, or so later, and the guy shows up with a walnut stocked Mark3. I asked about the Mark1, and it was mine, for $350. I then found out the other Mark1 was sequential serial number to my new baby. It took about 10 years, but I now own both of them. The first gun was bought new in Michigan, and the second was bought in New York. They then came to the same place, in Florida, and to me. Wild coincidence, IMO.😁

I have one myself and know the attraction.
Does yours have a flat steel or ridged plastic butt plate?

Mine rarely sees the light of day, because of the problems you've mentioned, but its a keeper

Yes, it's my second choice LSR rifle, after my very much modified S410 carbine.
