Hi all,

My main rifle is an HW100 Bottle Conversion (see pics). I love it but it's heavy...

Also have a Wolverine R which is very nice and relatively light.... it's for sale as I shoot my HW much more..... but everytime I look at it i want to keep it...

I have a Krait Compact which is a lovely gun, but I'm not shooting it. It's also for sale... so I can try something else...

I fancy a "proper" Tactical rifle, very light and visually impressive...

I've had a browse around the forum and the following keep popping up as good options, but your thougths and pics would be awesome if you are inclined!

S510T
BRK Ghost
NP03
Katran
FX Impact
FX DRS
Brocock Commander XR

Look forward to your thoughts!

PS, I'm dreadful for double loading, as I'm easily distracted by other guns at the range/HFT course.... so something that is likely to avoid that... seems most Tactical guns don't have genuine mechanichal anti-double load!!??

I have an S510T and I love it. You’ve got plenty of Magpul furniture on it. Though the design will let you switch to most AR compatible.

CTR stock is good. Though you can switch to a Bravo B5 if you prefer.

Loved mine but new ones don't come with Magpul unless it's new, old stock in the RFD. AA have switched to speccing a Turkish brand.

If OP really wants Tactical, I'd say the S510 or the DRS Tactical are the closest they'll get to always looking Tactical. I had a Katran & have an Impact. Other than being mostly metal I don't think they are particularly Tactical, especially once laminate bits and bobs and bag riders get added.

Also consider a BRK Ranger XR2

It's crazy this isn't considered a solved problem, it seems especially prevalent on fiddly springy magazines. I can't stand them

I've got a few 'tactical' rifles here (although the Ghost could hardly be classed as such given its lack of subtlety) 😁

I'd say the DRS Tactical is the most 'AR' of the bunch and it's a nice rifle to shoot. Mine is a bit pellet fussy but I've settled on H&N Baracuda FT's in it.

If you want to shed some weight, the Katran will tick a lot of boxes and also has an AR compatible grip.

The AGT Vixen is a good shout too. :)

If you want ulta light, then the FX Dreamline Lite Compact is ideal. Also the FX Wildcat. I have both and never had any issues with them and they are always bang on even when not used for a month or two.

AGT Vixen 1 short
DRS-T
Airmaks Katran compact

Three very different handling rifles, but all excellent in their own ways. The Vixen is still my favourite, for now, I think …..

Yep, I've had a look at the Ranger XR2, good looking gun and looks good value!

I know. I had my Krait out tonight and no problems at all, but it's fussy - forget abut the double loading, it sometimes drops a pellet into the housing and won't shoot - rare, but annoying!
