Had a decent lenovo tablet a few years ago, the tablet was initially absalutely great and highly innovative design, loved it.
But, lenovo never released updates for it so it quickly started falling behind and having app compatibility issues, it then started glitching, freezing, re-starting and generally going wrong before it fully died only 2 years later. I was FAR from the only person with issues with this particular model. Lenovo provided little to no support to the community of users and after a few months basically cut the product and left hundreds of people with £450+ paper weights. This was the second time I'd had my fingers burnt by a lenovo product and their absolute non-existent customer service and product support so I won't be touching anything of theirs ever again!!
On the other hand, my Microsoft surface 6 (running windows) has been absalutely brilliant, couldn't live without it! Bought a cheap rechargeable stylus from amazon when I first got it for note taking etc and it's done me proud.
I recently added a samsung galaxy tab s6 lite to the mix as my android platform and something smaller and lighter to travel with. Only cost £300 and came with an S-pen as standard. Again, so far has been faultless and a joy to use. Whilst I don't use it often, I've found the S-pen to be a really useful addition for notes, sketching out plans/ideas etc.
My wife uses I-pad, she's never had any issues and seems to love it, I've just got her a new 9th gen as her gen1 finally died last year!! which is a hell of an innings for a tech product.
To be honest it will mostly come down to the operating system you wish to use and how that will best suit your requirements. I've always proffered android and windows personally as it suits my requirements better, but my wife proffers IOS and macOSX for the same reasoning.
