Gents just having a jiggle round of guns etc in the cupboard and side by side you realise how simmilar the 97 and tx really are.

Shoot completely differently as the 97 is 177 and tx 22 but both fantastic guns.

Do you have a favourite??

Tough call that

Had good few 97s 77s txs over the years and very hard to choose. Can depend on the day that I guess.

Above goes to show how good they both are I reckon the AA slightly nudges it in terms of quality but very very little in it

I know what you mean but the 77/97s just win it for me.
All lovely rifles though. Enjoy 👍🏻

King of the road, !!!! Despite huge abuse Served well , Bought some spares from Crosman
Blow off valve & pump head ( You could then ? )

I like the new stocks on the 97's I wasn't sure at first but they have grown on me. Although do like TX's as you know I think a 97 is better.

Personally I think the tx is the best underleaver ever made, I’ve been lucky to own just about every other so I can compare with conviction. I moved away from them as I prefer the simplicity of a break barrel, I only own a couple if cheapy ones now.

If I had to choose which one I'd have back it would be the tx.

I own a mk2 tx, mk2 HC, 77 and 97 all in .22

I like every single one of them . But when it's time to put me in a box and screw the lid down the Tommys are coming with me 👍

Silly question time in my younger years always went for a break barrel now under lever seems to be the way to go, believe it was the look so much cleaner ( before you ask no the Prosport wasn't a option) is it just me 😁
