After my RFD let me know a Hull cartridge price rise was imminent I got an order in with him and collected today - 2k freshly loaded (apparently) Pro One.

Moving away from F Blacks as the patterns through my Invictus are horrible. Got a slab to use up - they go well in my semi and pump.

Eriswell carts belong to the misssus as they are soft, the Superfast are what I use at fibre only grounds unless it’s some place mega fancy in which case it Pro Fibre and the comp x are for the vintage English guns with 65mm chambers.

Nobel GTs are odds and sods left over from taking family over Xmas.

Just paid over £10 a box for Clear Pigeon.

Last time I think it was about £7.20 ish….

Trying to keep my different types of 12b carts to a minimum, I was happy with Fiocchi F3 Sporting but they're hard to get now.
So I swapped to F-Black in 28g for the Beretta's and Benelli s/a (Comp x wouldn't cycle it 100%) and F-Black 24g for the old tired and wobbly Shadow Indy.
Tried Hull Sporting 100 but they seemed awfully dirty, no problems other than that but F-Blacks do the same but cleaner.

Fiocchi Litespeed 26g £255 /1000 perfect in Benelli Supersport
Fiochhi in general pattern to tight and combined with Guerini chokes which are also known to pattern tightly it was a bad combo - tried f blacks, f blue and tt1 and same with all of them.

You’ve got to do what best works for you and your gun ,

I only use 1/4 choke for sporting and it works for me

My own way of stock pilling and saving money is to cut back on how often I now shoot clays and instead going to do more .22 target shooting, something had to give and I'm afraid it was the clays :)

When shooting clays i'm sure there is a hole in my pouch as the cartridges disappear that fast :)

It's the whole cost of Clay shooting now, cartridges/clays/travel/food. I worked mine out to a average of £100 per go so something has to give. I feel sorry for Clay grounds as they ultimately will be the ones that go under not the cartridge manufactures, it's just greed now imho

If the grounds go then the cart companies surely would suffer as there would be less people blasting them off. It is becoming more expensive however on sunday at Flightline the place was heaving and we waited at every stand. Not complaining at all and I am so glad they had a decent day. The grounds need the income. I didn't buy carts there as I had some.

You would think so, but a few grounds around my way are way down compared to 2yrs ago.
Yes you can get a busy weekend but next time it's very quite, few years ago they were busy all the time even in the week
