Ihave a ulrika391 auto 3" chamber has 0950kg stamped on barrel, would it be safe to shoot number 3s steel through a 1/4 choke ?,cartriges require a 1320 bar pressure.

The 0.950 might be the barrel weight in kilograms ,rather than a proof pressure. 3 inch chamber gun should have a high pressure proof to use magnum cartridges of around 1200kg,though possibly not quite the HP steel level.Standard steel loads though are definitely ok.

Hmm thanks for that, it does have a chromed barrel.

I’m not familiar with that shotgun, but as mrberetta said- I believe anything that you want to shoot a “high performance” steel cartridge through needs a fleur de lys mark (google it)
If it’s chrome lined you may have it.
If not then I’d stick to standard steel, I’ve used them for years in my 70s AYA sxs on the ducks to no detrement and there are plenty of YouTube videos on the subject.

It does have chromed barrels and the fleur de lys,Causiosly tried it today "tied down and remote trigger operation" every thing ok.
36 grams no3 steel shot and 1/4 choke 28 inch barrel.
Many thanks to all for the input.

Have tried patterning steel shot?
We hear a lot about steel from the makers but no one seems to show any pattern results at the usual 40 yards.

I think I put some up on here and compared it to lead (standard steel in old sxs) there were some big holes in the patterns 👎🏼

It will be fine , crack on

Its rated for HP steel .
Just remember with the standard beretta chokes modified ( half ) max are rated for steel.

Just remember to dig your heels in before you pull the trigger 😂.

Have tried it ,recoil is not that bad, better than buffalo cartridges 36gram 2 3/4 lead through half choke 28" barrels.Lamber sporter.
