Trying out new feeder additions, to cut down on the waste when putting peanuts in with wheat.
Nuts do jam a bit so their always there for scent attraction.
I'm on top of population so just getting 1 and 2s now.

Interesting approach you have there. Do you have wheat in the grey (drain?) pipe and peanuts in the copper pipe? How are the nuts taken on the one hand whilst not going straight through on the other.

Sorry i don't quite understand your question?
One is a hopper (grey) with wheat and a smattering of pea nuts in.
Im running two of these.
Squizzers were ignoring the wheat, so I added peanuts,
Then they would hoof all the contents out to get the nuts as many of us have found!
So copper tube with slots and filled with just peanuts.(too many slots on one!)
They can only nibble the nuts so cutting down on waste and lasting longer between top ups.

I like to think they can scent the nuts in the tube.
Photos from a few weeks back and buggers have gnawed the plastic clips!
Replacing with metal tool clips.

Just my take on feeding station running.
Hope this explains .
All positive criticism welcome.
Thanks for your interest.

Keep at them!
