A trip out last night, the downside was 98% moon and zero cloud cover.
Weather was gorgeous on the way down and upon arrival the stage is set.
Plenty of woodland and open pasture.
Sun was still up but setting fast……
Time for a brew with the land owner and a catchup…..
Temperatures were pleasant but a little breezy at times with 26 mph gusts……it didn’t have too much impact on POI.
However the moon then popped up over the mountain….not great.
As the sun disappeared the moon did its thing…..it’s now 11pm.
After a few hours of overwatch I drove further up the mountain and set up at farm number 2.
It’s now 1am and using night mode on my phone to capture the sky above. That tree in the centre of the pic is the crooked tree on a wide plateau, but there is still quite a climb to the right that takes you higher still.
A great night to be out despite the flood lights.
