So who vandalised my rifle then? Is this what this sport has come too? 😡

I've been sat on this for a few weeks now and frankly I've been too worked up to even talk about it. Once I found it I nearly knocked the comp shooting on the head ,it really threw me and still has a fair bit with the
Why,when ,where?

There's quite a lot more than I can put into a post but in the next few days I'll try and get some on film.

Ive been talking to a few people in the trade about it and it seems that it's not actually that uncommon sadly.

I'm just at a total loss tbh even though the guns now back sorted with a fresh barrel .

Stop waffling and get to the pics man.

That is exactly what it looks like down the muzzle end of the xti50.

The crazy part about all this is it's highly likely not happened since I've owned it.
It's not actually as wildly inaccurate as you'd imagine. If it was an hft rig I'd have been hard pushed to tell apart from the occasional slightly odd report every so often when it went 'off ' the boil.

I've been chasing some very strange small poi shifts combined with some very weird chrono results when it was throwing a tantrum.

And yes this the the alutec chassis xti50 that I built the woodwork for ,for AA and the centrepiece of their stand at the British shooting show and the northern shooting show as well as the numerous comps it was taken to and used. And the gun I shot the nsra winter league with 😡

Infact I know a good few of you shot this at the hft worlds..

Gutted, upset and at times just plain angry..

Problem is now that I just can't really let it rest.

I feel that angst, hopefully you get it sorted.
Personally I've stopped paying big bucks for UK products.

So what do you think may have happened, someone deliberately shoving something up the barrel, or some damage that got overlooked in the quality control department? , whatever has happened , it's extremely upsetting.

Mate, someone's stuck something like a screwdriver down it and ripped the shit out the bore. I've had it looked at by those better acquainted with this stuff and you can see where it's picked the rifling up and ripped it up. 😡

It's been done intentionally nick, whilst it was incredibly hard to photo you can see where whatever it was ,has picked up small burrs as it was shoved down and twisted 😓

When /where would anyone have an opportunity to do something like this
This is the worst part really. This particular gun will have been left unattended or atleast not looked over with hawk eyes at a number of trade shows and put on a bunch of competition courses as a demo gun.

Has it had some sort of safety devise shoved down it on the stand to stop people picking it up without asking? Like they do on the pistol racks?

Either that or has someone had a lazer bore sighter down it and forgot to remove it before firing mate? I've seen that happen a few times with rimfires😲😲 funny but not funny at the same time when you see it happen at least one of them ended up with a cack barrel too
I doubt either but I also can't see why someone would cheb the sheet ouwt the barrel? Unless steyr was on the next stand?😁

I feel your wrath bro jealousy is an evil monster or that damage may have been perpetrated accidentally and the culprit was too afraid to fess up 🤔😞. Either way that barrel is done for it's unusable now. It's better for you to vent a bit mate let it out then let's think of a solution to get you shooting again 👍🍀. One love ❤️ Ali
