Snowpeak ap900 looks nice for the money

mine seems to stop leaking air at 160bar. Woiuld this be a seal in the reg?
More likely that any pressure over 160bar is enough to overcome whichever seal is failing. I have the same issue on my car. Inflate to the recommend 42psi and it will leak down over a month until it gets to 18psi. Then it just stays at that level.

Well good news it did not leak over night it is still at 200 bar. I did try nipping up the bleed screw and canister. Fixed is fixed right...

If your tyre doesn't have anything sticking in them causing that, get the rim seals checked.
Had a car that did that on one wheel. They tyre fitter hadn't cleaned the previous crud off, so there wasn't a proper seal.
Another which I had recently was corrosion on the inner side of the wheel which was causing deflation n appropriate warning. Had all the wheels skimmed n refinished.

I had a bit of 30mm carbon fibre tube knocking about so I decided to make a new mod for my AP900. I don't have the necessary machining skills to turn the lump of Delrin I'd got so talk a walk over to Matt's yesterday afternoon. I was originally going to use 3D printed internals but I had a couple of hair curlers in a drawer and some felt (although the internal spacers are printed). 🙂

I put it all together this morning and gave it a bash... I wasn't expecting much in the way of noise reduction so I was rather pleasantly surprised to hear a quiet 'phut' as it went off.

Anyway, here it is...

Nice job! 👍

Question please.
Can. I swap out 177 probe and barrel for .22 or .25 in a 900 or 1000 version .
Or are these blocks specific to cal please.
I can't imagine too much if any difference in the blocks, but a complete retune would be required besides the obvious parts swap.

Hello, What size carbon tube and where did you get the Cap and Thread adapter ??

Has anyone tried taking the stock mod apart to see if it could be improved with some homemade fixes?

Also has anyone got a backpack for this rifle for transporting since it folds down well?

Yes. Somewhere in the first 50 or so pages. From memory, screw it onto a bolt, heat the bolt to melt the gunk then use a lot of effort to unscrew. Or something to that effect.
Don't recall the results

I have improved both my AP900 and 1000 mods. I have some 3d printed baffles and shims I use. Not perfect, but a big improvement over standard. They changed the noise level and tone very noticeably. There is quite a large spring in the original wasting space, and the bore of the aluminium baffles is too wide. Probably uses the same baffles from .177 to .25 calibre. A pain in the rear to open up the first time. Lots of red loctite in there. Lots of heat required.
