Snowpeak ap900 looks nice for the money

Call me thick, but I didn't realise that the cheek piece had two different positions. I only found out when I removed it with the intention of fitting two short spacers to raise the height slightly.
Right, it's off to scour the spares box to find some spacers and screws...

Cheek riser made, need to change the bolts for black ones and jobs a good un, only raised it an inch but that is bang on for me, the black plastic tube you can see under the cheek piece is the tube taken from inside a 4 inch gloss paint roller, if it works , it works👌

I was wondering about this when I opened mine up, I thought the TP looked much bigger than folk have been saying. So just a spring, lighter hammer and reg tweak on the new ones then.

The ideal size transfer port size is 4mm if using the lighter hammer and spring, it seems some have a brass insert that needs removing, mine just had a white plastic transfer port about 2mm so changed it for a 4mm one, then a reg tweak

Sometimes having a slightly smaller transfer port partially restricting the air flow can assist in a better shot to shot consistency. Sometimes worth experimenting with different sizes.

Just tinkering with mine now brass scrw out of port, lighter hammer and spring in but it wont cock now!

Here is the brass screw for anyone wondering

I had to push it past with a allen key! but it may need to go more. Just had tea and biccies going back to the workshop now.

another reason may be the front trigger adjustment screw has worked itself out too far , mine does this now and again, its going to be introduced to loctight soon

Mine did that, there is a rectangular rubber plug in the top rail, it gives access to the cocking lever, there is a small split pin that rises up and fouls on the casing, just push it down gently with a small flat blade.
