I am awaiting the delivery of a 0.22 Snowpeak AP900 and I'm planning to customise it. I'd be interested in sharing experiences and links to resources if anyone would like to contribute. Ill be using a Hawke Airmax 30 Touch 3-12x32 AMX IR Rifle Scope (Model 13260) and a weihrauch xl moderator and walnut stock components with a left-hand cheek. Estimate weight uner three kilos:
  • Standard AP900 rifle: ~1,600 g
  • Hawke Airmax 3-12×32 scope: ~572 g
  • Weihrauch XL moderator (195 mm): ~193–200 g
  • Walnut components: adding estimated extra 500g after removing existing components
Mocked-up image of current project is shown below this stock image :

Black version by boiling stock parts and grip, "These are made one at a time by submerging the cheek-piece and handrail in black disperse dyes, direct surfactants, acids, salt and acetone for 50 minutes at 90°c. They are continually stirred to avoid uneven finishes. The finish is permanent and will not rub off. "

Resource notes from Chat GPT on custom Snowpeak AP900 builds resources:

Examples of Custom Stocks and Mods
  • AR-15 Component Swaps: The rear section of the factory stock is removable and can be replaced with standard AR-style rear stocks. Users have noted that it is a solid platform with less flex than some competitors like the
    Kral NP03
    .
  • 3D Printed Bullpup Kits: Files exist on platforms like Cults3D for "
    EIGHT AP900
    " and "
    MONTIRO AP900
" kits, which allow users to convert the rifle into a bullpup configuration.
  • Professional 3D Design (Ruben3D): A well-known Spanish creator, Ruben3D, produces high-quality 3D-printed modifications specifically for the
    AP900
, including competition-style grips, stocks, and barrel Picatinny rails.
  • Community "Stealth" Builds: Members of the AirGun Forums have documented "Stealth AP900" projects, which involve custom-fitted moderators, modified hammer springs, and adjusted triggers alongside stock refinements to improve the rifle's tactical feel.
  • Accessory Rails: Many owners add 3D-printed or aftermarket Picatinny rails to the front underside for mounting bipods and other accessories not present on the standard folding stock.

Where to Find More
  • Design Files: Search for "
    AP900
" or "AP1000" on Yeggi or Cults3D to find printable stock kits.
  • Community Forums: The "Show us your custom/modded AP900’s" thread on AirGun Forums is a primary hub for visual examples and technical advice.

I hope that the flat components of the vented area can be made up with a folded single piece of walnut so the grain flows round. Ive steamed and laminated walnut like that before

There's plenty of scope for customisation with this great little gun. Mine has:

Weihrauch XL silencer
Various picatinny rail sections
Vertical handgrip (with a QD picatinny fitting to allow swapping to a bipod)
Eagle vision picatinny to ARCA rail adaptor (for use with either a tripod or flatbag)
Ares M4 Type 'D' grip. (An airsoft part for a gas rifle rather than en electric one. Electric rifs have a wider frame fitting).
Silverback polymer stock and steel hinge set. (Again and airsoft part)
Picatinny sling point
As well as the ATN X Sight 5 scope and IR illuminator

All functional, and for a purpose. Using good quality airsoft parts for grips, stocks, rails etc. is perfectly OK with a non-recoiling PCP rifle.

And as a rabbit / ratting tool it really is a great little bit of kit.

ive added a few simple mods....Ive extended the barrel and shroud by 38mm so I can fit a Weihrauch XL silencer (and still fill the reservoir) and extended the stock 25mm by adding a rail between the stock and the gun; it seems simpler than adding a bigger shoulder pad . For my size thats more comfortable,

How'd you extend the barrel? New barrel machined to spec to suit?

i bought a 38mm extension for the barrel ...about a tenner and it works really well. I also bought a section of 500mm carbon tube from Ebay and cut it to fit....that wasnt so easy to do the the equipment i have available

Watching this thread. I love the wood stock vibe on your mockup and if i do bite the bullet on one of these it's peaked my interest

How did you get the rifling to match up, and where/how did you attach such a small extension? I've never heard of a 38mm barrel extension.
