Sniper XR Race Rail

I bought my sniper xr second hand with a race rail fitted to it. I have a Wulf Compact on it now and the adjustable cheekpiece isn't really high enough. Never having owned something like this before what's the point of the riser? You can't use one of the Carm mags that came with it either because it hits the riser. What scope fitting are you using on your brks?

The race rail riser suits some people and it also has MOA incorporated which negates the need to shim the scope or use adjustable mounts if high mag scope runs out of elevation. If it doesn't suit you perhaps take it off.

I think the point of the race rail on a Sniper XR is to have the slope facing backward to get better eye relief on an immersive style scope.

My Sniper XR has a extended cheek riser posts done by @nobby on this forum for a previous owner

Do you have a pic of rifle with the race rail?

My Sniper has 11mm dovetail mounts on the scope, the cheek piece is right down, the Brocock mag just clears the scope.
I prefer the low scope for when out and about, not able to use a rangefinder.

No idea, at a guess I would say it’s heavier
