Ok we a pay as you go electric meter the older type with top up key and we have solar panels which is saving us a lot of money
Would we benefit from having a smart meter and still save on electricity or even save more than we do with the old meter

The tariffs can be cheaper on a smart meter. I just don't like the idea of them, it's the thin end of the wedge. They'll be charging by the hour to use certain appliances if they get the chance, it'll be like the good old days of putting coins in so your TV will work

It's called Shitification. Remember when Facebook and YouTube wasn't crammed full of adds. Diesels weren't punished, crikey they're punishing EV's already. Microsoft Windows is going to start demanding a mug shot and photo ID before it will let you use it.

Market Wide Half Hourly is coming to all mpans soon and that means surge pricing and 'dynamic tariffs' in every hoke before we know it
