Anyone use a slingshot these days, I reckon if you are handy with one, they can be as effective as a rifle😂😂

Always had a catapult when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s. Fair shot with one as well. My cousin and I would go out to the fields and quite often bag a rabbit or a pheasant each .

Just bought a load of cheap ones, for the Askaris to use at Baboons. I don’t mind the Leopard and Hyenas wandering around the farm at night, but Baboons are a right pain. You don’t need to fire a stone towards them any more, they know exactly what a catapult is and ’do a runner’…

I went on a mad spree of buying a couple after i found my old black widow and a pro diabolo i then eneded up with 5 from wasp and 1 from simple shot thinking I would be fantastic 🤣🤣🤣 how wrong was my thoughts on that I gave up but do have the odd shot now and again I've about 30,000 steel balls to get through still

Got a wasp enzo xmas off daughter ,pleased with it nice and light ,with clamps .Started shooting slingshots during dreaded lockdowns , frustrating at first till it clicks

I recently purchased a milbro for about £12. It's exactly the same as that were around when I was a kid and couldn't afford. Mine was a bent up coat hanger.
Like BarryA I can't hit the proverbial barn door but I'm having fun exploring and practicing

The little Milbro years back, great little thing, even had a thumb place on it but boy did it hurt when you got things wrong .
Soon learned to shoot it straddle posts .

Had one as a kid. Milbro I think it was. That and a pocket of ballbearings managed to bag the odd rabbit.

have quite a few, from Gamekeeper John, Nick Heggarty , Simple Shot , Catty Shack etc, quite enjoy cutting and tying my own bands. Its a nice hobby , just wish i could shoot a bit better!!!!!!

Do have a bit of fun with this from the time to time, it's not the top end of the market, far from it, but it suits and behaves for me,,

I took up slingshots during the first lockdown . I used to shoot every day but I try and get to the woods at least three times a week . I’ve tried a few but stick to Wasp slingshots now as they’re cheap and very well made . I also prefer clamps to tied bands . I’ve tried 9mm bearings and .38 lead but prefer to shoot 8mm Hexnuts . I find them accurate as anything else up to around 20 yards and cheap as chips from Wilko’s pick & mix section . Great fun .

Something on my list of things to try, one day. I’ve a good few kilos of spent pellets to melt down and pour into a mould for ammo but I’m not sure, possibly quite rightly, that Greta would approve. What to use as ammo, apart from Mint Imperials, that’s eco-friendly I ask?
