Thought I’d give em a try. Bought 6, they seemed fine in the garden collecting the breeze and moving nicely
Out in the field today. Worst day ever …..most crows/ jackdaws and rooks were backing away last minute.something was spooking them.
It may have been coincidence but I’m not convinced , was after an easy lightweight solution for those days when you’ve only got a couple of hours.
Probably going to resume lugging the full bodied and shells about.

Anyone else had any experience with them
Positive or Negative,
Thanks

I made my own one day when I was bored 😂

I can't say how well they work on their own, as I use them with a mixture of full bodied and shells to good effect.
I've had some good outings on the corvids

Found all plastic decoys only good for shotgun work if you wanting them to come down for the air rifle use the real thing not always possible l know but if l know ill be doing decoying shortly ill keep a few in the freezer and that's my own freezer l have for sea fishing baits not the one in the kitchen lol
Was using the 410 moderated, so needed them in close but not to land. They just didn’t seem to like them
Usually swap for shot ones as I go, but these were just veering off at the last minute.
May have been my set up or something ,but it just wasn’t Right.
As for the freezer. …….
‘Never gonna happen.’ Was the reply to putting em in there. 😂

Have a look at the FUDs. (Fold up decoys )
They take up a lot less space and work well for me .
You can move their necks/head for different positions of sentry or eating .
I just touch up the collars with white marker every so often .

Any links to where I can get fold up decoys please ? Had a Google and not 100% sure I’m on the right track.
Not convinced I’m going to be using these socks in a regular basis

Brought this thread back, does anyone else have experience of sillosock decoys?

That’s what it’s about for me, space saving 😀 they’re not a lot so worth a pop 🤞🏼
