Should I download the latest firmware update. DNT Zulus V2?

Evening all.

3 days ago I purchased a brand new Zulus V2 and I've spent most of today setting things up and getting used to the scope.

So I've also just downloaded the Zulus app and managed to connect without any problems.

But as soon as I opened the DNT app for the first time I got a prompt to update the Zulus firmware. But before I do I just thought that I'd check with you guys first.

Because I've heard that certain updates for certain digital scopes can cause problems that were not there before the update was Installed.

Here are 2 screenshots. The first showing the firmware update prompt and the second showing my Zulus current firmware version.

I updated mine (v2) about 7 or 8 weeks ago, have no problems with it. 👍

What is the difference with the update. Iv put off doing mine as im happy with it. My m8 updated his alpex an ended up back dating it as he wasn't happy with the new update so iv been a bit put off

But they are 2 different makes of scope. Your mates Is a Hikmicro Alpex and mine Is a DNT Zulus.

No problem. I did the upgrade and then drove over an hour to my favourite ratting permission. Suffice to say the only one I got was literally point blank. ' won't make that mistake again 🙄

Yeah I got the arken v2 myself im just saying what happened to my m8 that put me off updating mine I now they 2 different makes but mines fine without the update an like the others say you got to re set up your zero profiles. Nice to now what the difference is before actually doing it
 
Pulled my out the box didn't think to update the firmware and now all mounted a zeroed not sure I'll bother tbh 🙃

I'm a firm believer is this also, updating if its a genuine improvement that's one thing but to keep updating an update whilst getting further away from something that didn't need fixing in the first place is just stupid, especially when there's no detailed breakdown of what it's in aid of 🤣
 
I test all the firmware versions prior to release so I would always suggest updating them as soon as they are released.

@GPCBILL. Cheers fella. I just started this thread because I'm a complete newbie where digital night vision Is concerned so I just thought that I'd double check on the forum first whether I should update the Zulus firmware or not 👍
