Just for clarity

GL40 does not, in itself, give Carte Blanche authority to shoot birds to protect other wild birds

It must be read in conjunction with the list of birds of conservation concern

If the birds you are hoping to protect are not on the above list, you have no authority under GL40
Please also understand that you have to comply with all the conditions of the GL. It's a long document, so please read and digest it all. It goes a lot further than the table of target species, near the top of the document
