My BASC yearly membership is almost up and i'm fairly certain im not going renew with them. I was only really doing it for the insurance so i guess i'm going to just get a public liability shooting policy. Anyone got a recommendation for this plesae?

I was looking for insurance cover and was quite surprised by the difference in cost between comparable premiums. C3 and Rip both seem to offer good cover.

C3 for me also worth saying this forum has a discount code link

Always use gunplan (RIPE) great customer service and cheapest about for level of cover I need

I tend to look at it as two different things. My actual guns are covered in the household policy, that includes upto an agreed value out and about, I go over that value (eg take a few guns) and that’s my choice, as the insurer will only pay out £x. I did have to tell them what I had at renewal, but was told that I didn’t need to inform them if I got something new, unless it was above the individual item limit.

I then use whoever offers what seems like the best legal/third party liability cover. Sadly you need to read the fine print, as the devil is in the detail and comparing like with like is harder than it should be.

I went with C3 as it covers you for pretty much every outdoor activity. Including the historical reenactment and archery I do.
But be aware, it does not cover you for throwing spears (if that happens to be your thing 😂)
