Hello all , Im new here to the forum . apart from being the owner of an Air Arms TX 200 .177 walnut stock (2009) , I have also collected various types of knives over the years including quality Nepalese Khukuri s , Fixed blades and folding blade knives . Apart from a few really small penknives I had during the 60s my first real blade I owned was a Sheffield made 4" blade stag handled sheath knife in a brown leather sheath . Back then there was no thought of using knives in an offensive manner but like many kids from the streets I used to throw it in tree trunks or just whittle away at a tree branch . It is the one knife I wished I had kept but it was probably discarded by my Mam after I joined the Army . Just wondering if any members on here still own one from the 60s and 70s , if so any chance of a few photos ? cheers

Yes, mine is a bit longer, I think the 4" version was the Scout version from memory.

Sheath by @Bladesmith on here

I got one very similar my dad bought it for me when I was ten cos we used to do a lot of sea fishing,
I am 69 now but still have that knife in me shed,
looks a bit rougher than those already pictured though.
Hold onto it , wish I still had mine

Brown leather sheath ?
This knife actually was a gift from a knife maker friend in the US and it came in a very early, worn and delicate Randall Made Knives sheath. The knife was already restored and I considered having the sheath re stitched but decided as the knife was always going to be a display piece that I’d leave the sheath original.
