Had a morning at my local archery club that just happens to have a air gun range for members that do the archery, anyway it almost 100% sheltered from any real wind. 45m seated with my favourite rifle sfs imp on the edge of a target card. I planned to take 10 shots but by the time I had taken 8 I knew I had made a little bit of a mess of the card. I know on here people dog on sfs a bit (and at one of my local clubs) BUT I cant fault what they have done on my rifles. The imp is 100% the 1st choice rifle I own. Serious piece of kit that has blown me away for the past 6 years! Love it love it love it!

Tonys a Legend, very good at what he does. I have a mk1 SFS Imp ive used it once as its so mint with a cs500 stock. Always say ill sell it as i dont uae it but i cant lol
Just keep picking that rifle ip and you will be shooting in a wet dream forever more.

Honest question here , mate...what would you say, sets Tony's kit apart ? I've ( albeit via pictures) seen nowt but some reworked OEM HW internals, a hideously big moderator & ...?
Running some good ( aftermarket) springs & guides from multiple manufacturers, in my rifles... Just askin'.

Everytime i get her out the case im like yes!!! I stripped and refurbished the Cs500 as i wanted it a little darker so everytime i look at it i can smell the Alkanet oil etcJust keep picking that rifle ip and you will be shooting in a wet dream forever more.

Never opened it up and had a look. I had an off the shelf 99 and loved it so looked in to getting it turned as it was loud and had terrible twang. Sandwell came up, saw vermin hunters on YouTube so put my 99 up for sale and placed an order for an imp. ITS BRILLIANT! Im sure loads of other options are great too. But barrel cut down, amazing trigger, and a great tune, well everything you could expect i guess from a tune. No issues with it in 6 years. As far as the ugly stuff on the end of the barrel.. well I pest on allotments and the length makes a massive difference compared the the length of the weihrauch moderator. I tape the ugly bit so it makes less noise when I do bang it on a gate or Harris fence. Not to mention his tuned rifles perform on hft/ft courses in many many shooters hands. What more can you say other than if you don't want to pay £250+ for champion internals and you are just the average guy who shoots and don't want to do it yourself why wouldn't you use Sandwell? Great service from Tony and team. Plus they look the dogs danglers with the cut down barrel and engraving.

Original equipment. Seen Tony ( SFS) Internals - factory guide turned to suit " his " spring & no top hat supplied....
Done same, myself, to fine effect; but , this is a " just so you know", ' cause SFS puts on an "anti- tamper" sticker.

I'm going to order another, stupidly sold my Imp Mk2, outrageously good HW99, the firing cycle was sublime and it was as accurate as the HW100 I had, outstanding shooter. Whatever he does is worth every penny.

He certainly works on the triggers. I had to set mine a little less sensitive, but once I did, it is superb.
He says he uses his own supplied springs.
I haven't had mine apart, as I have never needed to, but it fires with a quick thud, minimal recoil and a super nice feel.
Now my only comparisons are a to a Prosport and various rifles with WW or TBT kits in. It's better than all of those, by a considerable margin.
Unfortunately, I don't have a rifle from another renowned tuner to try it against.
I'll try and pick one up sometime lol

I’ve had my IMP MKII for around four years now and, to be fair, it’s been excellent.
Fancying a bit of a change, and after reading all the criticism of SFS on this forum and the previous one, I sent it to a well-known Welsh tuner (who is been banned) and asked him to rebuild it from the inside out. New spring, guides, top hat, trigger work, the lot.
The end result? Honestly, it was very, very similar to Tony’s original tune. The only noticeable improvement was that the cocking cycle was a little smoother and lighter.
I think most of the criticism aimed at SFS is about the price, and that’s fair, they aren’t cheap. But they are the only people getting pre-cut, choked barrels direct from Weihrauch, and for me that’s the real point of difference.
Plenty of people will quite rightly say you don’t need a shorter barrel, and that’s absolutely fine. Buy a standard HW99, fit a tuning kit or send it to a good tuner, and you’ll end up with a superb rifle for around two-thirds of the price.
But if you specifically want a compact rifle with a factory choked barrel that’s a significant step up from a standard out-of-the-box HW95, then I still think the IMP MKII is a cracking choice.
