Selling Collection - Dealer Recommendations ?

Blackpool Air Rifles frequently buy collections and as one of the UK’s longest established dealers will have the spare funds to do so but you will need to be realistic with your prices.. If any dealer is going to lay out a lot of money in one hit then you are not going to get great money unless you have a rare collection

Put them on here first and whatever you don't get rid of can go to a dealer. I know a few that have sold to Leicester Airguns and think he is OK and there is always City Air Weapons in Lincoln, but I know nothing about them.

Even with a rare collection they will screw you down.

My local RFD offered me £200 for a gun I sold for £700. I took 3 guns in PX and made a profit on one. The other two my 84 year old Dad bought off me, so I let him have those at cost. If you can, you are always going to get the fairest price listing them one at a time. I know it takes time, but treat it as an additional income flow for a bit and dont rush to list them all at the same time.

You will lose to much from a dealer. better price selling yourself try a couple you may find
it interesting and as much fun as it was to find them Hunting gif

As mentioned, it's dependent on what's being sold. A pile of old B2's worth a tenner each is entirely different to rare collectibles worth hundreds. If we're talking a total of thousands then selling as a job lot would be just crazy

as said make a list with a few pics and post a add on here with a mods blessing at least that way it gives the members first dibs

Put up a list and see what people think, it would not be a sales thread, but once people now what your selling you may be able to put them in smaller bundles for easier selling - PCPs/Springers/Pistols/collectables etc.???, then you could decide what to do Shrug tt

Oh - and remember all those scopes

I believe @Norman on here bought that many plus spares and so on ,the van was scrapping on the floor from what I read on the other forum years ago.

I agree with @jesim1. Break them up into smaller bundles and sell on here. Expect less if sold in bulk and inevitably you will see some of them sold on for a profit, and no one should have an issue with that, a dealer will make considerably more selling them on.

John.
