Hi guys, I am intending to use W97 air riflr .177 for targets at 30 and 50 yes. Which middle of the range scope would you suggest please
Thank you, never thought of that, quite obvious now you say it. Thanks for the helpI assume you mean the HW97 rifle,
sorry I cannot help on best scope as I do not have springers,
There are however many choices and budgets..
Search HW97 on the forum and look for pictures may give you an idea..
Thank you, just looked at some online, within my price range and looks a nice piece of kit. Thank you for your helpIf you,"re benchresting the Vector Sentinel X range takes some beatimg.
" Targets" covers a lot of ground... Benchrest or casual paper punching ? Knockdowns ? Spinners ? Me being me, if solely shooting from a bench, at casual/ normal paper & such, look for a target conducive reticle ( fine crosswire - crosswire/ dot combo), & dial in distances...no real need for the clutter of a mil dot/ christmas tree reticle. Mid power ( 12x on the high end), no need for more really, because 12x puts a 50 yard target 12.5 feet away. No need for illuminated reticles & other " doodads". Look through a few, buy the best glass you can. No need for 30mm tube or 50mm/56mm objective lenses..no idea what your definition of mid priced is, but for me, a Leupold or Meopta is a solid choice.Hi guys, I am intending to use W97 air riflr .177 for targets at 30 and 50 yes. They appear to be a rare as hens teeth, I will keep looking. Thanks for your helpIf you can find a 2ndhand Sightron S111 10x42, you will be hard pushed to find anything better at the price!![]()
Thank you, the few I have looked at don't have a lifetime warranty, if you purchase a scope second hand does the life time warranty transfer, or is it only for the original buyerI love own and use Hawke scope with my rifles including my tx200, my favourite is a sidewinder sf30 6-24x56 auction buy brilliant scope,
I also have 2 vantage scopes 4-16x50 really good
Plus lifetime warranty,
Hmmm not sure about that probably notThank you, the few I have looked at don't have a lifetime warranty, if you purchase a scope second hand does the life time warranty transfer, or is it only for the original buyer
Yeah, I would think that too, so a second hand buy will come without the warranty, so maybe great scope, but may need to be a new purchase, unless anyone knows different and can confirm this please. Thanks for the help bomberHmmm not sure about that probably not
Thanks Pat, I guess the best way to be sure is to give them a call tomorrow, I will let everyone know what they sayI think you should be OK going second hand with Hawke scopes, their customer service is well known. There are reports of people sending second hand scopes back and no questions asked, they have either repaired or offered 50% off any new scope.
