Yep. These were early memories and loved mine along with my spud gun of course and the obligatory shooting your mates. wish I'd kept them
Spud guns were great. Also loved cap guns when i was a kid. Could you imagine kids running around in the street with cap guns now? There would be armed response but when i was a kid it was normal.

Of course. I remember going away for Christmas. My Uncle was in the Army stationed in Berlin and we went to visit. My mum and dad packed some already wrapped presents in hand luggage for me to open on Christmas day. Imagine their surprise when they got pulled going through the Xray machine when a pair of Western revolvers (cap guns) showed up. And we were still allowed to take them with us, but the flight attendant but them in one of their lockable cupboards and gave them back at the end. They were metal construction with wooden handles and looked quite real. well.. as far as my 10 year old selfs memory serves anyway. can't imagine it happening now

We used to play "tiggy gat gun" where a sting in the arse meant you were "on."

Silly really as a pellet or dart, even at gat gun velocities can destroy an eyeball.
Very silly BUT I've lost count of the number of asses or feet I've shot or the times I've been shot with a gat and it stings like hell 🤣

Seem to remember mine being both tbh it took a 'bullet' with some spud in one end & a cap in the other ..unless I dreamed that
