Cheers Rich. Unfortunately the revolver is back with Alan Westlake, in need of a new barrel (not my doing). Was hoping to get it back before the op, so now it won’t be for a few weeks until I’m allowed to drive again 👎🏻
 
Good luck with the op my grandad was like a new man when he had his done years ago.

As a non shotgun user, what's the reasoning behind this as I assume they're all locked up in padlocked safes at home when not in use? Or is it so your not tempted to get out and use them whilst in recovery?

Booked in to have my second one done in Aug (my choice xouldve had done before now) so that will be the full set (both knees and hips) and hopefully all this shitty pain Im in will be gone!
None so far have been more than 3weeks of TV and limited activity. 4 weeks driving again after all but rt hip.

Then I can hopefully ditch all the pain killers. Pretty sure u must be in a similar boat?

Only one shotgun, the rest are rifles, but same principle. It’s peace of mind, surgery is nearly 200 miles from home, and I know, if anything happens, or I end up with an extended stay, my misses won’t have any worries.
 
Bit late to party - but hope recovery is speedy !! Chap at my club just had his hip done - was back up and being RO (though using1 crutch to help his balance). About 4 weeks later.
